Who gets what?

Let's make a DAO

Lots of excellent replies from everyone on the subject of our creating a DAO. Amazing. Momentous. We're headed up. Please keep 'em coming.

Here is some of what I've received:

the individuals that are coming up with the smart contract should be rewarded higher than someone who's just providing feedback

Also...

20% more

Let's use 20% then. Check this out:

How does this look to you?

  1. We issue enough tokens for anyone who provides a public address to receive at least 1,000 tokens.
  2. Anyone who responds to this or the previous email with constructive comments gets 1,200 tokens.
  3. Whoever actually helps me get this DAO going with more than words gets 1,440 tokens.

We're making progress on distribution and total issuance. Very good. Massive progress in just 24 hours.

We still have to name the coin ("FUSE" is taken). We have to choose a host blockchain. By default, I'd go with Ethereum, but I'd love to be recommended something else. Something cheaper?

Also, should we have a reserve? Like 20% of total issuance, keeping with the theme?

Huge thanks to Jafar for taking a leading role in helping me with this.

If you don't understand the above, you're in good company. Ask me specifically, and I'll try to explain.

Did you know about Roko's basilisk?

Well, now you do. And since you do, you have no logical choice but to participate in the advent of an all-powerful AI.

Fidenza

I believe that https://tylerxhobbs.com/fidenza is a great page for anyone to become more comfortable with NFTs. Tyler Hobbs takes the time to dissect what goes into generative art. You might still call it a jpeg after you've read the page, but I bet you'll have a deeper understanding of the skills and artistry involved.

Generative art comes together by assembling two separate elements: a randomized seed and an algorithm. The same algorithm, which will "draw" the piece, is applied to a limited set of randomized seed data. Neither the first owners of a generative art piece nor the artist knows exactly what will come out of the process. The outcome needs to be of high quality, yet creative, and surprising.

I very much admire Hobbs' candor in sharing what looks like the recipe to his recent success.

The current floor price for a Fidenza is 147.5 ETH, or $484,755.73 at the time of writing. This means you can't find one for less than about half a million dollars.
